香港兒童合唱團 The Hong Kong Children's Choir

香港兒童合唱團成立於1969年，並註冊為非牟利慈善團體。團員經由充滿愛心的專業導師悉心指導下，每星期進行饒富趣味的學習，計有合唱、舞蹈及美術等訓練。除了為小朋友提供一個寓學習於遊戲的環境外，「香兒」也同樣重視孩子的德育培養，通過有系統的藝術訓練和高水準的演出，小朋友們可以瞭解到合群和處事嚴謹的重要性，為他們踏足社會作好充足的準備。 今天，「香兒」已由創立時只有39名團員，發展到擁有超過4,700名團員，成為世界上人數最多、組織最龐大的兒童合唱團。

「香兒」每年暑假均前赴海外演出，將愛與和平的訊息傳遍世界。足跡遍佈54個國家及地區，受歡迎程度，足以令外地人士驚詫於小小的香港，居然能擁有一個這麼高水準的兒童合唱團，因而被冠以「小小音樂大使」和「世界最傑出兒童合唱團之一」的美譽。2003年更獲選為「中國十大少年合唱團」。

過去35年，「香兒」積極推動藝術教育，為香港兒童音樂及文化界培育不少人才，貢獻良多，不但提高兒童對音樂藝術之興趣、幫助兒童發揮他們的群體精神，更提升兒童的品格及內涵。

The Hong Kong Children's Choir (HKCC) was founded in 1969 as a private non-profit-making charitable organization. Under the supervision of a group of dedicated musicians and educators, the choir members not only have the opportunity to develop their artistic talents, but also learn the importance of unity through practices and performances. Established with only 39 members, HKCC is now the biggest choir in the world with over 4,700 boys and girls receiving choral, dancing, arts and craft training from the Choir.

Each year, touring groups are invited to give performances overseas, spreading the message of love and peace to other parts of the world. The Choir has been well received and applauded in over 54 cities, gaining an international reputation as "one of the best children's choirs in the world" and "the Little Goodwill Singing Ambassadors from Hong Kong". In 2003, HKCC was awarded the Top Ten Children's Choirs in China.

For the past thirty-five years, the Choir has made tremendous contributions towards children's arts education in Hong Kong, not only cultivating children's interest and talents in the arts, but also helping them develop their inter-personal skills and cultivate their sensitivity to appreciate culture and the virtues of excellence.
